A suspect extradited from Nigeria faces charges in connection with the 2018 homicide of a 23-year-old trainee engineer. Matthew Adebiyi, aged 25, was brought to London and detained for the fatal stabbing of Joshua Boadu, also known as SJ, on Linsey Street in Bermondsey, London in June 2018. Boadu sustained critical injuries to his chest, neck, and arm, leading to a fatal heart attack ten days later. Adebiyi has been remanded in custody and is set to appear at Uxbridge Magistrates’ Court. Two individuals were previously convicted for Boadu’s murder in 2019. Boadu’s family expressed deep sorrow over the loss, emphasizing the devastating impact of his untimely death. His father highlighted Boadu’s positive qualities and aspirations, condemning the senseless violence that claimed his son’s life. Boadu’s sister and a friend echoed the sentiment, urging an end to knife crime.
