Investors Sue Selena Gomez Over Mental Health Startup

Date:

Singer and actress Selena Gomez is facing a lawsuit from investors who allege she engaged in fraudulent activities by not fulfilling her obligations to develop and promote her mental health startup. The investors put in approximately $1.2 million in Wondermind Global, a venture launched in 2021 with the aim of enhancing users’ “mental fitness,” as stated in a lawsuit filed in federal court in Delaware.

The investors claim they were assured that Gomez, a prominent figure on social media boasting over 500 million followers, would actively participate in the company’s development as its marketing head. However, they argue that Gomez and other company executives failed to deliver on commitments, such as the creation of a mobile application.

According to the lawsuit, Gomez allegedly agreed to a contract requiring her to perform certain tasks but allegedly disregarded it. The plaintiffs assert that the company did not have a viable business plan and failed to meet essential obligations, like paying employees and vendors on time.

A spokesperson for Gomez has not yet responded to requests for comments on the matter. The lawsuit contends that the investors were unaware of the company’s challenges until a news report surfaced online in September 2025, detailing the issues. The plaintiffs are seeking to recover their investments along with legal expenses incurred.
