Canadian defender Moise Bombito revealed that a conversation with national team coach Jesse Marsch influenced his decision to pursue surgery on his left tibia despite his desire to compete in the upcoming FIFA World Cup on home turf. Bombito, aged 26 and a centre back, is facing chronic pain, leading to the necessity of surgery as confirmed by his club team, Nice, based in Ligue 1 in France.

Despite suffering a tibia fracture previously, Bombito managed to participate in Canada’s recent matches, showcasing his dedication by playing through discomfort in the games.
While acknowledging the challenges posed by his injury, Bombito emphasized his eagerness to recover fully to resume playing at his peak performance level. The decision to undergo surgery was reached in consultation with the coaching and medical staff, as Bombito aims to address the persistent pain hindering his abilities on the field.

Despite facing adversity, Bombito remains resolute in his goal to return to the pitch at full strength.
