“Anthony Joshua Involved in Fatal Crash, Rushed to Hospital”

Date:

Two individuals lost their lives instantly in a tragic accident involving the SUV carrying Anthony Joshua, as reported by witnesses. Following the incident, the British boxer was rushed to a hospital in Nigeria for treatment of his injuries. The crash occurred on the Lagos-Ibadan expressway near Makun, Ogun state, where Joshua’s vehicle collided with a stationary truck after a tire burst, causing him to lose control.

Eyewitnesses stated that Joshua’s vehicle was part of a two-vehicle convoy, consisting of a Lexus SUV and a Pajero SUV. The Lexus, carrying Joshua and three other occupants, crashed, resulting in the immediate death of two individuals. Joshua’s security detail was following in another vehicle at the time of the accident. The local authorities, including the Ogun state traffic compliance and enforcement agency, are currently investigating the crash.

Eddie Hearn, Joshua’s promoter, confirmed that Joshua was safe and en route to the hospital after being informed of the incident while on holiday. Joshua, who was in Nigeria visiting his parents’ homeland, recently defeated Jake Paul in a boxing match. The victory marked a return to the ring for Joshua, who had left his opponent with a broken jaw in two places.

Looking ahead, Joshua hinted at significant plans for 2026 and reignited his rivalry with Tyson Fury in his post-fight statements. Expressing gratitude to his supporters on social media, Joshua conveyed his excitement for the upcoming New Year and hinted at future endeavors.
