A popular US singer, known as D4vd, has been taken into custody following the discovery of a missing teenage girl’s body inside his Tesla vehicle.
The authorities have disclosed that the TikTok personality, legally identified as David Anthony Burke, was apprehended in connection with the tragic demise of the adolescent who disappeared last year.
Burke was under investigation by a grand jury regarding the suspected murder of Celeste Rivas Hernandez, aged 14, whose remains were uncovered in his car back in September.
The Los Angeles Police Department announced that the 21-year-old suspect is being held without bail, and the case is scheduled to be reviewed by the District Attorney’s office on Monday for potential charges.
Although the musician has chosen to stay silent on the matter, his representatives have indicated that he is cooperating fully with the ongoing investigation by the authorities.
Officials have confirmed that records concerning Celeste Rivas Hernandez’s death have been restricted from public release, as per a court order.
Due to this directive, no specific details about Hernandez’s demise are permitted to be disclosed or published on the Los Angeles County medical examiner’s office website.
The remains of Hernandez were located inside the trunk of D4vd’s impounded Tesla on September 8, 2025, after a complaint of a strong odor at a Hollywood tow yard.
Rivas Hernandez, hailing from Lake Elsinore in California, was last sighted in April 2024.
