“EasyJet Introduces Manchester-Montpellier Flights”

Date:

EasyJet has recently introduced new flights departing from Manchester Airport to the beautiful Mediterranean city of Montpellier, known for its abundant sunshine with around 300 sunny days annually. Despite being often overshadowed by popular tourist destinations like Paris, Montpellier offers a unique charm with its medieval architecture, vibrant squares, and cozy cafes.

Renowned for its sunny weather, Montpellier experiences an average of 300 sunny days every year, with summer days lasting up to 10 hours. The city’s Mediterranean climate brings mild winters and hot, dry summers, ensuring minimal rainfall and temperatures that can reach highs of 18C to 21C in April.

The timing of easyJet’s launch of this new route from Manchester to Montpellier couldn’t be better. The inaugural flights have already commenced, operating twice a week on Mondays and Fridays throughout the summer season. Tickets for this convenient two-hour trip start at just £26.99, allowing travelers to bask in the southern sun in no time.

Montpellier offers a variety of attractions for visitors to explore, including the historic city center with landmarks like Place de la Comédie, Promenade du Peyrou, and Saint-Pierre Cathedral. Roaming through the pedestrian-friendly Old Town presents opportunities to wander the quaint streets, visit chic boutiques, and savor the local cuisine in charming cafes and restaurants.

Additionally, Montpellier boasts the oldest botanical gardens in France, Jardin des Plantes, providing a tranquil escape with a diverse collection of plants and serene pathways. For panoramic views, the Peyrou Promenade overlooks the city and its picturesque surroundings, offering a perfect setting to soak up the ambiance.

Kevin Doyle, UK country manager at easyJet, expressed enthusiasm for the new route, emphasizing the airline’s commitment to providing customers with expanded travel options at affordable prices. Manchester Airport’s Chief Commercial Officer, Stephen Turner, highlighted the airport’s role in connecting the North to diverse destinations, making Montpellier an appealing addition for summer travelers seeking a French getaway.
