Recent data revealed a notable 10% surge in sales for Lidl over the Christmas period, with nearly 51 million customers choosing to shop with the retailer. The UK business of Lidl recorded a turnover exceeding £1.1 billion in the four weeks leading up to Christmas Eve, attributing this success to a record-high number of shoppers and increased demand for seasonal products.
Ryan McDonnell further expressed pride in Lidl’s performance during the festive season, citing customer loyalty growth due to the company’s commitment to low prices and British food quality. As the fastest-growing physical supermarket, Lidl continues to expand its reach nationwide to cater to more customers and provide exceptional value during the holiday season.
