One individual has passed away and another is in critical condition after an active shooter incident at an airport.
The Elko Regional Airport in Nevada, USA, has been shut down due to reports of an active shooter on Monday, April 13.
According to Lieutenant Shane Daz of the Elko Police Department, authorities were alerted about an active shooter at 12:30 pm local time on Monday. Upon arrival, one individual was discovered deceased.
KSL TV has indicated that the deceased individual is a minor.
The Elko Police Department has issued a statement stating, “Police are examining a crime scene at the Elko Airport. The airport is currently closed to all traffic. Updates on its reopening will be provided.”
An investigation into the incident is currently underway.
