Donald Trump’s team halted a live video broadcast of his exclusive cryptocurrency conference. The President is scheduled to address a gathering of prominent investors in his digital currency, $TRUMP, at Mar A Lago later today. Only the top 297 $TRUMP holders have been granted access to the event, drawing criticism from the Democratic party. Among them, the top 29 holders will have the privilege of joining Trump for a special reception.
In an effort to maintain confidentiality, two of the President’s aides intervened when a live stream surfaced on a user’s account named “Cryptohawk” before Trump’s speech. The stream, which lasted for over half an hour, was abruptly cut off after a woman and a man in a suit noticed the unauthorized recording. The man approached the streamer, inquiring about the device used for streaming and instructed him to cease recording as per the event guidelines.
The conference follows a significant decline in the value of $TRUMP by 92% in the past year. Reports from the Financial Times indicate a substantial reduction of over 80% in the fee required to attend the VIP reception compared to the previous year’s event. In 2025, participants needed to hold an average of $3,280,000 worth of $TRUMP for entry, whereas this year’s average stands at a modest $539,000.
White House spokesperson Anna Kelly affirmed that President Trump’s assets are overseen by a trust managed by his children, emphasizing the absence of conflicts of interest. Attendees are anticipated to receive a swag bag containing Trump-branded merchandise, including a fragrance, a commemorative poster, and a “Fight Fight Fight Red Beauty Watch,” retailing for $499 online. Noteworthy personalities like Mike Tyson and Tony Robbins are also scheduled to make appearances at the event.
