A tennis enthusiast who gained online fame for supporting Emma Raducanu has been ejected from the Australian Open for disruptive behavior. James Bray, known for his vocal support and his ‘Australia’ tank top, caught the attention of Raducanu during her recent match. Despite the positive acknowledgment from the tennis star, Bray’s cheering during another match led to his removal from the Rod Laver Arena.
Bray documented his expulsion on social media, revealing that he was asked to leave for being too rowdy and was handed a 24-hour ban along with a fine. Despite the incident, he jokingly expressed gratitude for being kicked out as a devoted fan of the tournament and tennis.
Following multiple warnings, Tennis Australia confirmed Bray’s eviction due to disruptive conduct despite staff attempts to address the issue. Victoria Police also intervened, reporting that a total of 21 individuals were removed from the event for various reasons, with overall crowd behavior being commended.
As Bray reflected on his experience and the unexpected turn of events, the authorities emphasized the importance of maintaining order and ensuring a positive atmosphere at the Australian Open.
