Despite these challenges, authorities are actively working to prevent fuel shortages during the upcoming busy summer season.
However, Hereu cautioned that any issues affecting countries sending tourists to Spain could also impact Spain’s tourism sector. Several airlines have faced flight cancellations this season due to soaring jet fuel prices and supply constraints, attributed to the Strait of Hormuz closure following recent geopolitical events.
