A new route by Ryanair has been introduced from London-Stansted, catering to travelers who have a penchant for cheese and Italian cuisine. Flights from London to Parma are now available for booking, with the first of the bi-weekly flights commencing on June 4. Operating on Thursdays and Sundays, the service offers an ideal option for a weekend getaway, with a flight duration of just under two hours and fares starting from £20.95 one way.
Nestled in Italy’s Emilia-Romagna region, Parma is renowned for its culinary scene, particularly for producing Parmesan cheese and Parma ham, both globally appreciated delicacies. Visitors can explore cheese factories, indulge in tastings, and even visit the Museo del Parmigiano-Reggiano to delve into the area’s cheesemaking heritage.
The city of Parma is easily navigable on foot, with the Centro Storico, or old town, serving as a popular starting point for tourists.
