A prominent Russian politician and staunch supporter of Vladimir Putin has called for targeted strikes on the residential addresses of key Western politicians in retaliation for their support of Ukraine.
Dmitry Rogozin, a former deputy prime minister and head of the Russian space agency, criticized the recent list of potential targets in Britain and other European locations issued by Russia, labeling it as incomplete. He specifically pointed out addresses in London, Reading, Leicester, and Suffolk, accusing them of supplying arms to Ukraine.
Rogozin emphasized the need to target not only physical locations but also the homes and workplaces of Western politicians responsible for decisions that have led to Russian casualties. He labeled them as primary military objectives and denounced them as war criminals deserving of elimination. Russia has repeatedly accused Britain of providing weaponry that has been used against Russian territories.
Rogozin, who now serves as a senator for an occupied region in Ukraine and leads a drone unit aligned with the Kremlin, hinted at the potential assassination of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky. He referenced Israel’s tactics of neutralizing enemy leadership and stressed the importance of adopting a similar approach in the current conflict.
While Rogozin did not disclose specific names of Western leaders to target, he highlighted the extensive support Ukraine receives from various countries, including Britain, the EU, and the US. He criticized the Ministry of Defence’s published list of targets as just the tip of the iceberg in terms of the support provided to Russia’s adversaries.
Having previously served as a Russian envoy to NATO and overseen tests on Russia’s advanced nuclear missile system, Rogozin’s remarks underscore the escalating tensions between Russia and Western powers.
