A pregnant woman was attacked by her jealous ex-partner who attempted to revive their relationship upon his release from prison. Kieran Walton, who had previously served time for assaulting the woman, visited her residence in an effort to reconcile, but things turned violent when he accused her of being involved with other men while he was incarcerated.
Following verbal abuse and provocation, Walton physically assaulted the woman by pushing her, biting her back, hitting her face, and choking her. The incident took place on January 18 at the woman’s home, where Walton, who had been in a relationship with her for about 18 months, unleashed his aggression.
During the altercation, the woman discreetly recorded Walton’s behavior, leading to a confrontation where he threw her phone, causing her to fall over a sofa. He then proceeded to bite her, strike her face, and restrict her breathing by grabbing her throat. Walton, aged 35 with a history of 20 prior convictions, was sentenced to 21 months in jail after pleading guilty to causing bodily harm and intentional strangulation.
