Beond Airlines has announced a complete suspension of services between the Maldives and Europe, as well as routes via Dubai, with flight operations not anticipated to restart until at least October.
Initially attributing the halt to a seasonal break on its European routes, Beond Airlines now indicates a broader disruption. Bookings are unavailable across its entire network, including Middle East connections, indicating a comprehensive shutdown rather than a partial adjustment.
Affected passengers with existing reservations will be contacted within 72 hours and offered alternatives such as no-fee rescheduling for winter travel, credit valid for a year, or full reimbursements.
However, the exclusive business-class airline discreetly removed a prior commitment from its website promising business-class rebooking on other carriers in case of disruption, prompting concerns among passengers.
Established in 2023 as a premium all-business-class carrier, the airline concentrated on luxury travel between Europe and the Maldives.
