Koki, an African grey parrot, and various other animals add to the island’s unique charm.
Visitors can also experience a ride in a vintage Cadillac Eldorado, a symbolic relic from Tito’s era, which was gifted to him by Croatian emigrants. Exploring the island further, tourists can take a tourist train, rent a bicycle, or cruise in a small electric golf cart, with the pine tree avenue being a highlight.
Beyond its recent political significance, Brijuni has a rich past dating back to the Byzantine Empire. The islands served as a strategic outpost in ancient times and still bear remnants of Byzantine architecture, offering picturesque photo opportunities.
