Sky Customers Report Annoying Glitch in ITVX App

Date:

Some Sky customers are facing an annoying issue with the popular ITVX app. The problem seems to have emerged recently, with users reporting that their viewing experience is disrupted by a glitch that unexpectedly jumps to the end of programs. This results in viewers being abruptly taken from the middle of a show to the credits without using the fast-forward feature on their remotes.

On a Sky forum page, a user named Dazzasky complained about the ITV Player skipping ahead to the end of episodes, causing difficulty for the past few days. Another user, Dawn, also shared experiencing similar issues, with programs jumping to the end randomly, often at the start or after ad breaks.

The technical glitch appears to be affecting users of Sky’s online devices, such as Sky Stream boxes and Glass TVs. While it remains unclear if Sky Q is impacted, most complaints are from users with broadband-connected gadgets rather than traditional satellite dishes.

Although the cause of the problem is unknown, a Sky representative named Kev has acknowledged the issue and assured users that the company is actively working on a solution. Kev’s online message stated that the problem has been escalated to support teams who will collaborate with ITV to address the issue, promising updates as soon as more information is available.

For now, users may have to tolerate the skipping problem, but a resolution is hopefully on the horizon. Mirror Online will provide updates on this matter as more details unfold.
