Police in Surrey are still working to identify a group of individuals who sexually assaulted a young woman outside a church in the area. The incident took place after the woman left Labyrinth Epsom nightclub and was attacked outside Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road between 2am and 4am last Saturday, as reported by Surrey Police. Videos circulating on social media depicted large crowds gathering in Epsom, with police vehicles and officers in riot gear present on the scene. Despite ongoing efforts, Surrey Police have not yet released detailed descriptions of the suspects. They are closely collaborating with the victim, who is receiving support from a specialized Sexual Offences Liaison Officer throughout the investigation process.
East Surrey Chief Superintendent Mark Chapman expressed understanding of the distress caused by the incident and assured the public of their commitment to advancing the investigation. Chapman urged against speculating on the suspects’ descriptions to prevent escalating tensions within the community. He also confirmed heightened police patrols in the area, which will be maintained over the weekend.

Authorities are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who were in the vicinity of Ashley Road, Epsom Methodist Church, or Labyrinth Epsom nightclub during the specified timeframe, or who may have encountered a distressed woman in her 20s.
Individuals possessing CCTV, dashcam, or helmet cam footage from the area during the incident are urged to come forward and assist the ongoing investigation.
