Police Seek Woman in Connection with Assault and Theft

Date:

Police authorities have released a description of a woman they wish to speak with following the sexual assault of a 70-year-old man in the street and the subsequent theft of his gold chain.

The incident occurred in Aylesbury at around 12:40 pm on March 19, when the victim was approached by a woman on a footpath between Jackson Road and Aston Close. The woman engaged the man in conversation, touched him inappropriately, and offered “sexual services.”

Subsequently, the suspect forcibly took the victim’s gold Cubin Link chain and fled towards Autumn Close, away from the A41. Fortunately, the man did not sustain any injuries.

Described by authorities as a woman of Malaysian or Thai descent with a distinctive accent, the suspect is believed to be in her early to mid-30s and stands approximately 5ft to 5ft 2ins tall.

Furthermore, a similar incident occurred on April 8 involving another man in his 70s who was allegedly sexually assaulted and had his Rolex watch stolen. Detective Constable Mandy Cutler, the investigating officer, stated that the two incidents are being treated as linked and may be part of a broader issue occurring elsewhere in the country.

Thames Valley Police are urging anyone who witnessed the incident on March 19 to come forward with information by contacting them via phone at 101, quoting reference 43260136355. Digital evidence such as dash-cam footage or CCTV recordings can also be submitted to aid the investigation.

Both victims are receiving support, and authorities are committed to apprehending those responsible for these despicable acts. Community concerns are being addressed through thorough investigations, including house-to-house inquiries, and the public is encouraged to report any information that could assist in the case.
