“Tiger Woods Enters Not Guilty Plea After Rollover Crash”

Date:

Tiger Woods has entered a plea of not guilty following his arrest after a rollover crash involving two vehicles in Florida. The renowned golfer, aged 50, is facing charges related to driving under the influence with property damage and refusal to undergo a lawful test.

The incident occurred when Woods attempted to pass a tow truck on a narrow road, causing his dark SUV to flip onto its side. Despite registering a 0.00 on a breathalyzer test, he opted not to undergo a urinalysis following the crash.

After spending a mandatory eight-hour period at Martin County Jail, Woods has been released and has returned home. TMZ initially reported the guilty plea based on court records, with attorney Douglas Duncan set to represent Woods.

President Donald Trump recently shared his thoughts on Woods’ situation, mentioning that he believes Woods is coping well despite the physical challenges he faces due to previous injuries. Trump emphasized that Woods tested negative for alcohol and highlighted the golfer’s struggle with pain, praising his resilience as an athlete.

Sheriff John Budensiek confirmed that alcohol did not appear to be a factor in the crash, as evidenced by Woods’ breathalyzer results. The investigation revealed that no one sustained injuries in the accident, with Woods showing signs of impairment leading to his arrest for DUI, property damage, and refusal to comply with testing requirements.

The incident was reported to authorities by the Jupiter Island Police Department, prompting a joint effort with the Martin County Sheriff’s Office due to their expertise in handling such cases. Despite Woods’ explanation of previous injuries and surgeries, further tests confirmed his impairment, resulting in his arrest and subsequent detention at Martin County Jail.
