Two individuals have emerged as winners of the esteemed “Set for Life” prize in the National Lottery, securing a lifetime payout of £10,000 each. Both winners, who are British nationals, have clinched this significant award recently but are yet to come forward to claim their prizes, as confirmed by representatives of the National Lottery. According to Andy Carter, the Senior Winners’ Advisor at Allwyn, the operators of the National Lottery, the fortunate winners will be granted the five-figure sum every month for a span of 30 years.
Expressing excitement over the winners’ success, Carter highlighted the substantial fund created by the winners and other participants, enabling them to make a notable contribution to a larger cause. He encouraged players to verify their tickets and reach out to claim these remarkable Set for Life prizes. The winning numbers for tonight’s draw are 03, 13, 23, 34, 39, with the Life Ball being 04. The National Lottery reported that over 216,000 individuals secured wins in the latest draw, featuring various prize categories.
Among the winners were 41 individuals who matched four numbers along with the Life Ball, each receiving £250, 376 winners who matched four numbers only, winning £50 each, and 1,650 winners who matched three numbers and the Life Ball, earning £30 each. Additionally, 13,456 individuals who matched three numbers received £20 each, while another 20,771 winners who matched two numbers along with the Life Ball were rewarded with £10 each. A significant number of 179,647 participants secured a £5 prize for matching two numbers.
The National Lottery disclosed that a total of over £8 million was distributed to 216,943 recipients on that day, with the Set for Life winners collectively receiving £7.2 million. Carter emphasized that engaging in any National Lottery game is more than just a shot at winning but also a means to contribute to broader initiatives. He highlighted the substantial impact of players’ participation in generating approximately £30 million weekly for various National Lottery-funded projects, benefiting diverse sectors and communities across the UK.
While the two British winners have amassed substantial winnings, they fall short of the UK’s largest lottery winner, an anonymous ticket holder who secured £195 million on July 19, 2022.
