“Tesco Pharmacies: Your One-Stop Health Solution”

Date:

When it comes to maintaining our well-being, sometimes we need some extra guidance and assistance.

Tesco, with over 360 in-store pharmacies spread across the UK and catering to more than half a million customers weekly, is dedicated to supporting you. They offer convenient access to prescriptions, a wide range of healthcare services, and the opportunity to consult with their expert pharmacists while doing your regular shopping.

Many individuals find it challenging to schedule essential health assessments amidst their hectic schedules. When time is limited, turning to online resources for solutions to health concerns can sometimes be more stressful than reassuring.

“This is why we provide prompt and hassle-free pharmacy services, health guidance, and health and wellness products in our pharmacies that our customers can utilize while they are already in the store,” states Tom Lye, Tesco’s category director for health and wellness.

From flu vaccinations and vaccines to weight management programs, Tesco’s in-store pharmacies serve as a one-stop destination for friendly counsel. “Just a brief visit to the store can offer essential reassurance or the assistance our customers require,” mentions Tom.

Pharmacists can also save you time by dispensing treatments for various common ailments such as sore throats, earaches, insect bites, sinusitis, and UTIs through the NHS Pharmacy First service, eliminating the need to schedule an appointment with your GP.

There is also support available for chronic health conditions.

“Our Tesco Pharmacists have undergone additional training from Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK, and the British Heart Foundation to provide guidance and aid, raise awareness, and mitigate the risks of cancer, heart and circulatory diseases, and type 2 diabetes,” discloses Tom. “When at Tesco, simply approach the pharmacy counter and request to speak with the pharmacist wearing a Let’s Talk badge.

“For inquiries regarding heart health, our pharmacy teams are at your service for a quick, friendly walk-in blood pressure check – no hassle, no appointment needed,” mentions Tom. “A brief visit to the store can provide peace of mind or prompt assistance if required.”

Just this year, Tesco Pharmacies have conducted over 9,000 complimentary blood pressure tests for customers – a valuable service making a significant impact.

The benefits of in-store pharmacy services extend beyond customers.

“Tesco employees can also take advantage of the convenience of support through our pharmacies and other health services,” Tom adds.

“All employees have access to virtual GP consultations and additional assistance on topics like sleep therapy, nutrition, exercise, and mental health through the Employee Assistance Programme.”
