“Tesco In-Store Pharmacies: Your One-Stop Health Hub”

Date:

When it comes to maintaining our well-being, sometimes we need a little extra assistance and guidance. Tesco, with over 360 in-store pharmacies scattered across the UK attending to over half a million customers weekly, is dedicated to offering support. Whether you need to pick up your prescriptions, utilize their wide range of healthcare services, or seek advice from their knowledgeable pharmacists while doing your regular shopping, Tesco has you covered.

For many individuals, finding time for essential health checks amidst their hectic schedules can be a challenge. Turning to online sources for solutions to health concerns can often lead to more stress than relief when time is limited. “This is why we provide prompt and convenient pharmacy services, health advice, and health and wellness products in our pharmacies for our customers to access while they shop in-store,” states Tom Lye, Tesco’s category director for health and wellness.

From flu vaccinations and vaccines to weight management programs, Tesco’s in-store pharmacies serve as a go-to destination for friendly guidance. “Just a brief visit to the store can offer crucial reassurance or the assistance our customers require,” mentions Tom.

Additionally, pharmacists can help save time by prescribing treatments for various common conditions such as sore throats, earaches, insect bites, sinusitis, and urinary tract infections through the NHS Pharmacy First service, eliminating the need for a GP appointment.

For individuals with long-term health concerns, Tesco Pharmacists have received extra training from reputable organizations like Cancer Research UK, Diabetes UK, and British Heart Foundation to offer information, support, and raise awareness regarding cancer, heart and circulatory diseases, and type 2 diabetes. “If you have inquiries about your heart health, our pharmacy teams are available for a quick, friendly walk-in blood pressure check – no appointment required,” assures Tom. “A short visit to the store can provide peace of mind or prompt support if necessary.”

This year alone, Tesco Pharmacies have conducted over 9,000 complimentary blood pressure tests for customers, a beneficial service making a significant impact. The advantages of in-store pharmacy services are not limited to customers alone. “Tesco employees can also enjoy the convenience of accessing support through our pharmacies and other health services,” Tom mentions.

“All employees have the option to utilize virtual GP appointments and additional assistance on areas such as sleep therapy, nutrition, exercise, and mental health through the Employee Assistance Programme.”
