A young girl sustained serious injuries in a daytime stabbing incident. The 13-year-old victim was swiftly taken to a medical facility after the assault occurred around 4pm on Friday, April 17, near Wensley Road in Woodthorpe, Nottinghamshire. Presently, her condition is stable.
Subsequently, a teenage boy, whose identity remains undisclosed due to legal constraints, has been apprehended and charged with attempted murder and possession of a bladed weapon. He was scheduled to appear before Nottingham Youth Court on Monday, April 20.
Superintendent James Woolley, overseeing county policing, expressed, “Our officers are providing assistance to the victim and her family during this distressing event. We acknowledge the impact such an incident can have on the local community.”
He continued, “I want to assure the public that we are diligently working to comprehend the circumstances surrounding this attack. A 14-year-old boy has been arrested and charged with attempted murder.”
