A 13-year-old boy was stabbed at Manchester Piccadilly station, as confirmed by the police. The incident occurred near the short stay car park on Monday afternoon, leading to the teenager being swiftly taken to the hospital. Fortunately, the injuries sustained are not deemed life-threatening or life-altering, according to the British Transport Police.
Following the stabbing, a 13-year-old boy was apprehended on suspicion of GBH (wounding with intent). Additionally, three other boys, one aged 13 and two aged 12, were also arrested on suspicion of affray. All individuals have been released on bail as the investigation progresses.
Detective Inspector Stephen Kite expressed concern over the incident, emphasizing that it took place in broad daylight and in front of numerous shocked witnesses. He urged anyone who witnessed the event or may have captured dash cam footage to come forward to aid the ongoing investigation.
The injured boy has since been discharged from the hospital. Authorities are urging witnesses or individuals with information to contact the British Transport Police via text at 61016 or by calling 0800 40 50 40, referencing the incident under number 254 of 28th October.
