Sarah Ferguson, a longtime supporter of her controversial ex-husband Andrew, is facing eviction from Royal Lodge following a decision by King Charles to strip Andrew of his formal titles. This action will result in Andrew being known as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor and relocating to a private residence at Sandringham estate, funded by the King.
Sarah is also being asked to vacate the royal residence, with no official accommodation provided to her despite earlier discussions. Reports suggested Andrew proposed moving to Frogmore Cottage, while Sarah expressed interest in Adelaide Cottage, where Prince William and Kate Middleton currently reside.
Amid conflicting claims, palace sources clarified that Adelaide Cottage was not offered to Sarah, leaving her without housing assistance. The move comes in the wake of mounting pressure for Andrew and Sarah to leave Royal Lodge due to Andrew’s association with Jeffrey Epstein and allegations of sexual misconduct.
The Palace issued a statement confirming the removal of Andrew’s titles and the transition to private accommodation. The statement emphasized the Palace’s support for abuse victims and survivors amid the unfolding scandal involving Andrew and Epstein.
