Prince William is reportedly in agreement with King Charles’ decision to remove all of Prince Andrew’s titles. Buckingham Palace confirmed that Andrew will leave Royal Lodge amidst the ongoing controversy surrounding his association with Jeffrey Epstein, despite his denial of all allegations. The Palace stated that there have been significant lapses in judgment on Andrew’s part.
As a result, Prince Andrew will forfeit all his royal titles and will now be referred to as Andrew Mountbatten Windsor. The Palace announced that the formal process to strip Andrew of his Style, Titles, and Honors has been initiated by the King. Andrew will need to vacate Royal Lodge and move to a different private residence following the surrender of his lease.
Despite Andrew’s denial of the accusations, both King Charles and Prince of Wales support the decision to remove his titles. Andrew did not oppose the formal removal process initiated by the King. The transition to alternative accommodation at Sandringham estate is expected to happen promptly.
The King will ensure appropriate private arrangements for Andrew as he relocates. Sarah Ferguson, Andrew’s former wife, will also vacate Royal Lodge and make her independent living arrangements. Princess Eugenie and Princess Beatrice will maintain their titles as descendants of a Sovereign’s son, as per King George V’s Letters Patent of 1917.
