A 27-year-old man, Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, has been identified in connection with the alleged murder of Finbar Sullivan, a 21-year-old filmmaking student who tragically lost his life after a fatal incident at Primrose Hill in north London. Ogunyankinnu vehemently denied the accusations during a brief court appearance at Stratford Magistrates’ Court, proclaiming his innocence by stating, “I didn’t kill anybody, I didn’t stab anybody, they’ve got the wrong person,” before being escorted to the holding cells.
Acknowledging the gravity of the case, District Judge Ashwinder Gill informed Ogunyankinnu that his matter would be transferred to the Central Criminal Court for further proceedings due to its severity. The incident unfolded on Tuesday evening when authorities were alerted to a disturbance at Primrose Hill around 6:30 pm.
Finbar Sullivan’s father, Christopher, shared heartbreaking details of his son’s untimely demise, revealing that the young student sustained fatal injuries, particularly a leg wound that caused severe bleeding. Christopher recounted the devastating moment he learned of his son’s passing after rushing to the scene following a distressing phone call from a friend who was with Finbar.
Describing Finbar as a vibrant and compassionate individual, Christopher expressed profound grief over the loss of his only son, emphasizing that the tragedy was beyond his worst nightmares. The devastated father highlighted Finbar’s aspirations to follow his grandfather’s legacy in the film industry, drawing inspiration from renowned cameraman Michael Seresin.
