Iran’s proposal was first reported by Axios news outlet. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi traveled to Russia for consultations on the conflict with Israel and the US. The visit to Russia follows earlier stops in Pakistan and Oman, which shares the strait with Iran.
