Popular travel influencer Anunay Sood has tragically passed away at the age of 32, as confirmed by his grieving family. Based in Dubai, he amassed a substantial online following of over 1.4 million on Instagram, documenting his adventures across 46 different countries. While the specifics surrounding his sudden demise during a trip to Las Vegas remain undisclosed, a heartfelt message was shared on his social media account.
The poignant statement conveyed, “It is with deep sadness that we share the news of our beloved Anunay Sood’s passing. We kindly request your understanding and privacy during this challenging period. Please refrain from congregating near private property. Let us keep his family and dear ones in our thoughts and prayers. May his soul rest in peace.”
Anunay’s final Instagram update, posted from Las Vegas just the day before, featured him alongside Fast and Furious star Sung Kang. Reflecting on his American excursion, he wrote, “Still can’t believe I spent the weekend surrounded by legends and dream machines. Which one would you take for a spin?”
Following the family’s announcement, fellow influencer Cameron Biafore, who shared the Las Vegas trip, expressed sorrow over Anunay’s untimely passing. He expressed, “You were such a bright light, and I am grateful to have experienced it even briefly. Rest in peace, dear Anunay; your impact and zest for life will forever be cherished in this world.”
The news of his death has deeply affected his online community, with many taking to social platforms to mourn and express disbelief at the loss. Anunay had previously been featured in Forbes India’s prestigious Top 100 Digital Stars list consecutively from 2022 to 2024.
In a 2024 interview with Forbes India, he shared insights into his content creation journey, emphasizing his passion for the craft. “You have to adapt – I never viewed Instagram and similar platforms as my main income source. It was always a secondary pursuit driven by my love for travel and sharing those experiences with others,” he articulated.
