German special forces were dispatched following an alert of an attack at a school in Germany. The incident occurred at Westfalenkolleg, a vocational school in Paderborn, North Rhine-Westphalia, resulting in one individual sustaining serious and potentially life-threatening injuries. The suspect has been apprehended and is now in police custody.
According to local sources, the police control center was notified at 1:15 pm regarding a female student who was stabbed in the gym by a male assailant. The school activated a “rampage alarm,” prompting police to respond to the situation, which is designed for scenarios involving shootings or knife attacks.
Authorities from Biefield Police confirmed that a student was severely injured in a knife assault, with the victim currently undergoing emergency surgery. Reports indicate that the injuries sustained by the victim could be critical, and the suspect, who is currently detained by the police, was reported to have entered the school with a bladed weapon.
Westfalenkolleg went into lockdown after the school shooting alarm was triggered, with the incident causing one person to be in serious condition due to the suspected stabbing spree. Local media reports also suggest that the victim’s injuries are potentially life-threatening.
