“Former Heavyweight Champ Anthony Joshua Makes Bold Move to Dubai”

Date:

Anthony Joshua has surprised many by deciding to relocate from the United Kingdom to Dubai amidst the ongoing tensions in the Middle East. The 36-year-old former heavyweight world champion, originally from Watford with Nigerian roots, has officially declared his intention to become a resident of the UAE. This move, disclosed in paperwork related to his £150 million business empire, marks a significant shift from his ties to the UK.

Despite the recent conflict involving the USA, Israel, and Iran in the region, Joshua proceeded with his plan to change his residency status. The UAE has been under attack by Iranian drones and missiles within the past two weeks, prompting a large number of British citizens to seek evacuation back to the UK. While the allure of Dubai’s climate and amenities is strong for expatriates, the absence of income tax in the city is a key factor attracting wealthy individuals like Joshua.

Notably, Joshua’s company, Sparta Promotions, recorded substantial profits in recent years, leading to significant tax payments in the UK. This decision to relocate comes at a time when other public figures like Rio Ferdinand and Kate Ferdinand have shared their experiences living in Dubai amidst the ongoing tensions. Despite the challenges posed by the situation, the Ferdinands emphasized feeling secure and well-supported during these uncertain times.

Joshua’s move to Dubai aligns him with a growing list of celebrities, including ex-boxer Amir Khan and actress Lindsay Lohan, who have chosen to make the city their new home.
