A 22-year-old individual from Afghanistan has been apprehended in connection with a triple stabbing incident resulting in a fatality in Uxbridge, located in west London, as confirmed by the Metropolitan Police.

Law enforcement and the London Ambulance Service responded to Midhurst Gardens at 5 pm on Monday after receiving reports of three individuals being assaulted. A 49-year-old male, whose identity has not been disclosed, received treatment at the scene for stab wounds; unfortunately, despite the efforts of emergency responders, he passed away at the location. Support is being provided to his family by specially trained officers.

Additionally, a 45-year-old man and a 14-year-old boy were also attended to for stab wounds at the scene before being transported to a hospital. The man’s injuries were described as life-changing but not life-threatening, while the injuries sustained by the boy were deemed neither life-threatening nor life-altering.

An individual was detained at the scene on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and is currently in police custody. Prior to the arrest, the individual was subjected to a Taser and subsequently taken to a hospital for precautionary measures before being transferred to police custody.

Authorities are encouraging anyone with relevant information about the incident to come forward. Chief Superintendent Jill Horsfall, who oversees policing in Uxbridge, conveyed, “This was an appalling and unjustifiable act of violence resulting in the loss of one life and injuries to two others. Our sympathies are extended to the victim’s family and friends during this incredibly challenging period.”

Horsfall further stated, “The incident understandably caused distress within the local community. We have deployed a significant number of officers to the area to offer support while investigators diligently piece together the events. We urge the public to avoid spreading unverified information online and to rely on official updates from the police.”

She added, “If you witnessed the incident or possess any pertinent details, please reach out to the authorities. Your cooperation is invaluable in our investigation. Expect a continued police presence and a designated crime scene in the vicinity over the upcoming days, and we appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation.”
