A vehicle explosion at a bustling station in New Delhi has resulted in the tragic loss of at least eight lives and left many others injured. The incident unfolded near Red Fort Metro Station, where a parked vehicle was completely destroyed by the force of the blast.
In the aftermath, a distressing video captured the aftermath, showcasing several charred vehicles and debris scattered across the road, with authorities and medical personnel swiftly responding to the chaotic scene. The explosion is believed to have triggered a significant fire that caused damage to numerous other vehicles, prompting the dispatch of seven fire engines to combat the blaze.
Numerous casualties were swiftly transported to Delhi’s LNJP hospital, according to ANI reports. Eyewitnesses described the harrowing experience, with one resident recounting how the flames and explosion rattled the nearby community, causing panic and fear.
Authorities, including specialist bomb disposal units, have converged at the site, urging civilians to steer clear of the area, which is now devoid of non-essential personnel.
