A tragic incident unfolded near a UK park and ride facility in Aberdeen, resulting in the death of a child who fell ill. The emergency services responded to the situation at approximately 8:40 pm on Saturday night on Skene Road. Multiple ambulance crews were on the scene, and one ambulance was escorted by several police cars. Despite being taken to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital for treatment, the child was sadly declared deceased shortly after.
Authorities initiated an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the child’s death and secured the area around Kingswells Park and Ride. While the police have classified the incident as “unexplained,” they have stated that there are no indications of foul play, as reported by the Daily Record.
Residents expressed unease as numerous emergency response teams and vehicles swiftly arrived at the location. An eyewitness described the scene at Kingswells Park and Ride, noting the police presence and closure of the area.
A spokesperson from Police Scotland disclosed, “We received reports of a child falling ill on Skene Road in Aberdeen at around 8:40 pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025. The child was transported to the Royal Aberdeen Children’s Hospital, where regrettably, she passed away shortly thereafter. While the circumstances surrounding her death are currently unexplained, no suspicious activities have been identified.”
