A well-known British travel company has voided all reservations following its closure due to financial insolvency.
Regen Central Ltd, located in Hertfordshire, specialized in holiday packages to Europe and Southeast Asia. The company went into liquidation on January 13 after its Air Travel Organisers’ Licensing (ATOL) was revoked.
The ATOL scheme, managed by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), safeguards package holidays and flights booked through licensed travel agencies, ensuring refunds or repatriation in case of a company’s collapse.
However, some bookings, such as accommodation-only and non-flight packages, are not covered by ATOL protection, leaving impacted customers without the same level of security.
According to the CAA, Regen Central Ltd did not have any outstanding ATOL-protected bookings. Therefore, refunds will not be provided for accommodation-only, non-flight packages, or flight-only bookings with issued tickets.
Customers with concerns about refunds for ATOL-protected bookings under Regen Central Ltd’s ATOL are advised to contact the CAA via email at claims@caa.co.uk.
Established in 2011, Regen Central Ltd offered travel packages to various destinations, including Italy, Bali, Thailand, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, and operated under different names previously.
In a similar turn of events, holiday packages booked through Simply Florida Travel Ltd were also cancelled when the company ceased operations earlier this year.
The Glasgow-based agency provided travel packages to popular destinations like Disneyland, Disney World, Universal Studios, New York City, Toronto, Niagara Falls, Miami, and cruise packages.
Records from Companies House indicate that Simply Florida Travel Ltd applied for removal from the registry on October 13, 2025. The company was officially dissolved on January 6 and ceased operating as an ATOL-protected provider on January 20.
Numerous British travel companies, including Gold Crest Holidays, Great Little Escapes, Jetline Travel, and Asiara UK Ltd, have faced collapse in recent months.
