A British tourist passed away in Belize after neighbors heard a loud noise in the hotel where he was staying. The 52-year-old man had checked into the Casa Vista Hotel on Caye Caulker island just a day before the incident.
Upon hearing the noise, neighbors discovered the man unconscious on the ground and promptly took him to the Caye Caulker Health Center. Despite medical efforts, he tragically succumbed to his injuries later that evening. Police have initiated an investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding his death.
Officer Stacy Smith from Caye Caulker mentioned that on October 28, 2025, authorities responded to a report of an unconscious male at the health clinic. The man was found with visible injuries and was rushed to the clinic for medical attention.
The cause of the man’s injuries remains unclear at this time. This unfortunate event follows another incident involving a British man found deceased on the Mediterranean island of Malta.
