British professional wrestler Benjamin Satterley, a prominent figure in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) based in the United States, has passed away at the age of 40. Known by his ring name Pac, his death was confirmed by AEW on social media. The cause of death has not been disclosed, and he had wrestled on television the night before his passing in a match against Andrade el Idolo in Chicago.
Satterley, hailing from Newcastle, England, started his wrestling journey in 2004 in the UK and went on to compete in various independent wrestling circuits worldwide, including Japan and Mexico. Renowned for his acrobatic style and muscular physique, he garnered a strong fan following for his high-flying moves in the ring.
Having begun his wrestling career at 18, inspired by his aunt’s passion for WWF, Satterley later wrestled in World Wrestling Entertainment as Adrian Neville from 2012 to 2018. He joined AEW in 2019 and made a significant impact, winning multiple championships, including the inaugural international title.
Famous for his finishing move, the black arrow, a spectacular aerial dive from the top rope, Satterley was nicknamed “The man that gravity forgot.” Despite often playing a villainous character named “The Bastard” in the ring, he also showcased his comedic side in matches, notably against Orange Cassidy in 2020.
