Having grown up watching the race, Jamieson fondly recalled his father’s victory in 2006 with the 11-to-1 longshot Banner Yankee. However, his recent win with Fifth and Five now holds a special place as his favorite race memory. Reflecting on his strategy during the race, Jamieson revealed his focus on closely following the horse and driver in the first post position, a tactic that ultimately led to their triumph with a time of 1:49.4.
