“Apple Releases Update to Fix iPhone Wireless Charging Glitch”

Date:

Apple has rolled out a crucial update for new iPhone users to address a wireless charging glitch affecting some devices. The issue hampers wireless charging, forcing impacted users to resort to MagSafe charging. Although Apple notes only a small number of users are affected, it is recommended for all users to update their devices promptly.

The update is particularly essential for iPhone 17 series, including the Pro and Pro Max models, as well as the iPhone Air. Apple clarified that the update resolves a charging problem for a limited number of users experiencing issues with wired charging when the battery is nearly empty.

Updating your device is straightforward. Navigate to Settings, tap on General, and select Software Update. Look for iOS 26.5.1 and choose to update immediately or schedule it for nighttime. Ensure a stable Wi-Fi connection or ample mobile data as the update is a hefty 13.6GB download.

Apple enthusiasts can look forward to the upcoming WWDC Developers Conference starting on June 8, where Apple is expected to unveil its new iOS 27 upgrade. This upgrade promises a host of new features and enhanced AI capabilities for Apple devices.

Susan Prescott, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide Developer Relations, expressed excitement about the upcoming WWDC event, highlighting the celebration of technology, innovation, and collaboration within the global developer community.
