“UK Content Creator’s Budget Stay in Bon Jovi Room”

Date:

A young man from the UK shared his experience of staying at a hotel known for its ‘celebrity’ theme, where he secured a room for £37 per night and ended up in the Bon Jovi inspired room.

Spencer Ray Lyon, a 33-year-old content creator and live stream seller, opted for this budget-friendly accommodation during a recent visit to Bournemouth.

Despite mixed reviews on TripAdvisor, the hotel boasts an overall rating of 3.9 and a convenient location just a short walk from Bournemouth Beach. Intrigued by the concept of celebrity-themed rooms, Spencer decided to give it a try.

He clarified that the ‘celebrity’ label was not due to attracting A-listers but because the rooms were designed around famous personalities. Upon arrival, Spencer expressed his curiosity about the celebrity aspect and was welcomed by unique decor featuring Predator statues and a phone booth.

The rooms were adorned with posters and memorabilia of various celebrities, with Spencer being assigned the Bon Jovi-themed room. Although the rock star wasn’t physically present, Spencer was amused to find a Legolas figure integrated into the wall, providing a distinctive touch to his stay.

In addition to Bon Jovi, other rooms paid homage to celebrities like Rowan Atkinson, Elvis, David Bowie, Keira Knightley, and Michael Jackson.

Having set low expectations due to the affordable rate, Spencer was satisfied with his stay. He commended the friendly and helpful staff and utilized the hotel for a cost-effective overnight stay.

Spencer mentioned that the ‘celebrity’ aspect should be taken lightly, suggesting it was more about enjoying the themed decor than expecting encounters with actual celebrities. Pleased with the room’s amenities, including a comfortable bed, shower, and tea/coffee facilities, Spencer concluded that the value for money was excellent.

His video documenting the experience on TikTok garnered over 440,000 views, with some viewers recognizing the hotel from an episode of The Hotel Inspector.

Guests who had stayed at the hotel before shared their experiences, praising the affordability and unique furnishings. One individual humorously questioned whether the room decor would change if a celebrity faced a scandal.
