“New Sparks Loyalty Program from M&S Offers Cash Discounts”

Date:

Marks & Spencer has unveiled a revamp of its Sparks loyalty program, introducing cash discounts for customers. The new digital Sparks wallet, accessible through the M&S app, will allow shoppers to accumulate cash rewards by making purchases across various product categories. The offers will be dynamic, changing weekly based on individual shopping patterns.

Some of the incentives highlighted by M&S include earning £10 in the Sparks wallet with a £50 expenditure on fashion, home, and beauty items, or receiving £6 back for a £30 spend on nightwear. Customers can also expect to get £5 credited to their wallet when they spend £35 on food, or £1 for a £10 purchase of fresh fruits.

In addition to individual product rewards, shoppers will receive bonuses for purchasing specific items together, such as £5 cashback when buying a bra and matching knickers. Sparks members will also earn rewards for exploring new departments they don’t typically shop in.

M&S has forged a new partnership with Virgin Red, offering further opportunities to boost the Sparks wallet. For instance, customers can look forward to receiving £130 in their wallet for booking a Virgin Atlantic Holiday or £80 back for switching to Virgin Media. To take advantage of these benefits, users must link their Virgin Red account to their Sparks membership through the M&S app.

Existing Sparks perks, including free birthday treats, coffee stamps for complimentary drinks, exclusive currency rates, and insurance discounts, will remain intact. Sharry Cramond, Marketing Director of Fashion, Home & Beauty and Loyalty at M&S, expressed enthusiasm about the revamped Sparks program, emphasizing its focus on personalized offers and direct cash rewards for customers to use at their discretion. Cramond highlighted that the new program aims to empower customers by rewarding their preferences and encouraging them to explore new products.

The loyalty program transformation aims to cater to customer preferences for simplicity, personalization, and tangible rewards, while retaining beloved perks like free treats and charity donations. M&S envisions further enhancements to the program in the future, promising a more personalized, flexible, and rewarding experience for customers.
