“Heroic Dog Walker Killed, Employer Mourns Loss”

A dog walker hailed as a hero was tragically killed in Uxbridge, with his employer describing him as a dedicated and esteemed worker. Wayne Broadhurst, aged 49, lost his life during the incident on Monday evening, while a 14-year-old boy and another individual sustained injuries.

The managing director of Greener Ealing Ltd, a company offering environmental services to Ealing Council, expressed deep sorrow over the loss of Mr. Broadhurst. Katarina Pohancenikova stated, “Wayne’s family, friends, and colleagues are in our thoughts and receive our sincerest condolences during this challenging period. Wayne was a highly regarded and committed member of our team, significantly contributing to our work and community service.”

Greener Ealing shared a picture of Wayne donning a Liverpool FC hat, along with the company’s high-visibility attire. Safi Dawood, aged 22, faces charges including murder, attempted murder (twice), and possession of an offensive weapon in connection with the triple stabbing incident. Dawood, an Afghan national who entered the UK in 2020 via a lorry, is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court.

Jaswant Narwal, Chief Crown Prosecutor for CPS London North, declared, “Following the tragic events in Uxbridge, Safi Dawood, 22, has been charged with the murder of Wayne Broadhurst and the attempted murder of two others. Our team has meticulously assessed the evidence to ensure a strong case for court proceedings, in the interest of justice and public safety. We have closely collaborated with the Metropolitan Police Service throughout their investigation.”
