“Prince William and Kate Settle in Forest Lodge”

Date:

Prince William and Kate have recently relocated to their permanent residence, Forest Lodge. The couple has transitioned from Adelaide Cottage in Windsor’s Home Park to the Grade II-listed eight-bedroom mansion. The move took place during Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis’ half term break, with the family aiming to settle in before Bonfire Night.

The royal couple is now in the process of settling into their new abode, marking a fresh chapter following Kate’s recovery from illness. Meanwhile, Prince William is gearing up for a solo trip to Rio de Janeiro in Brazil for the annual Earthshot Prize Awards.

The move brings the Wales family in closer proximity to William’s uncle, Andrew Mountbatten Windsor, who resides at Royal Lodge in Windsor Great Park, approximately 1.4 miles away from William and Kate. Andrew has agreed to relocate to the King’s private Sandringham estate in Norfolk in the New Year after being stripped of his titles by Charles amidst the Epstein scandal, a decision fully supported by the prince and princess.

Prince William has long expressed a desire to take decisive action concerning his uncle. Andrew faced allegations of misconduct by Virginia Giuffre, who accused him of inappropriate behavior when she was a teenager. An exclusion zone was enforced around Forest Lodge before the family’s move, leading to some inconvenience for local residents.

Forest Lodge is within a 150-acre restricted area, with additional security measures implemented following the relocation. Trespassing on the protected site is prohibited by law under the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act (SOCPA) 2005. Apart from Forest Lodge, the Wales family also owns Anmer Hall in Sandringham and Apartment 1A in Kensington Palace.
