“Pregnant British Woman Released from Georgian Prison”

Date:

Bella Culley, a pregnant British woman previously incarcerated in Georgia on drug transportation charges, has returned to the UK after being released from prison. The 19-year-old arrived in the country on a flight from Georgia, accompanied by her mother who was wheeling a suitcase that had been confiscated by Georgian authorities containing £200,000 worth of cannabis.

Upon landing, Bella and her mother were greeted by loved ones at the airport before being escorted away by armed police to avoid the media. Bella had flown back on an EasyJet flight from Tbilisi, Georgia, where she had spent nearly six months in prison.

Witnesses reported seeing Bella and her mother rushing into the airport to check in for their flight just minutes before departure time. Bella, a trainee nurse from Billingham, Teesside, was unexpectedly released from Georgian prison earlier in the week after a change in her plea bargain terms, averting a potential 20-year sentence.

Expressing her surprise at the sudden turn of events, Bella mentioned her astonishment at her release and her initial reaction upon leaving the court. She was overheard commenting on her appearance and the presence of cameras, while also sharing a heartfelt moment with her father over the phone, exclaiming her relief at no longer being in jail.

Her mother, visibly emotional but elated, expressed her happiness at Bella’s release and indicated their imminent departure from the country once they obtained Bella’s passport.
